Happy Holidays

We decided to do a little post before Christmas next week. . . To be totally honest, it doesn't really feel much like the holidays quite yet but ready or not here they come!

Wishing Well
by: This & That Patterns

This is one of This & That's newest patterns that was a perfect fit for our Love Letters charm pack (Laundry Basket by Moda).  The fun vase of greens was created at the design class one of us took last weekend at our local flower shop.  Wasn't it just the perfect fit for our table topper??

by: Quilt Moments

A looong time ago we showed a sneak peek of this quilt and finally got the borders, quilting & binding done on it!!  Above in (in poorly photographed space) is our lap size quilt.  The quilt was a fun kaleidoscope or four-patch posy or stack & whack quilt to put together.  The outer border fabric is what was used to create all the fun inner square designs. . .

Itty Bitty Snowman
By: Country Threads

Isn't he just grand?  We love him!!  This little snowman was made using our woolies flannel fabrics and is so cozy and quick to make.  Kits of this little guy are available in the shop and even come complete with the buttons!!

We also want to share another holiday recipe with you!
We are in love with this new cookie...and our batch did not last many days...we may need rehab for this new-found cookie addiction.  May you enjoy them as much as we have!

Minnesota Munchies
1c. butter, softened                         1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract                       2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder                      1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs                                             1/2 c. semisweet chips
1 c. milk chocolate chips                1/2 c.  toffee bits
(Note: We used 3/4 c. toffee bits 'cuz we love 'em so much, and 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips and 1/2 c. semisweet chips  and skipped the pecans 'cuz we didn't have any more left. . .)
Cream together the butter and the brown sugar until mixed.  Add in one egg at a time and beat well. Stir in the vanilla.  Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.  Stir into the creamed mixture.  Fold in the milk chocolate chips, semisweet chips and toffee bits.  Drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. (Note: we like gooey cookies and only baked ours for 8-9 minutes) Cool and enjoy!!
Until after the holidays. . .we'll leave you with this fun little wish we found today.  We hope that you all have safe travels to and from holiday get-togethers and find time to embrace the true meaning of the holiday season.
Simple joys, and little pleasures,
Laughter and smiles in big measures.
Friends, Family, Togetherness, Love. . .
The choicest blessings from Above.
Peace, Prosperity, and Happiness, too
All of these and more are our wishes for you.
Happy Holidays.
