Going at it

We found this fun little Mrs. Bobbin cartoon while on Pinterest yesterday.  Those of you who have liked us on Facebook would have seen that yesterday.  We thought this was super, super fitting last weekend while we basked in -30 degree temperatures.  It was so cold we literally filled up suitcase with beautiful colors of fabric, loaded the bolts in the backseat of the car and grabbed as many notions (most importantly the seam rippers!!) that we thought we'd use and headed home.  We spent two whole days cooped up, sitting by our sewing machines (snacking on way too many goodies) while we sewed.  Sounds super rough, doesn't it?! HA!  We had a wonderful time doing that and will have a nice big stack of finished projects (currently either being bound or quilted) to share with all of you using charms and candy packs.  Something to sweeten up these sour winter days.  So a little tease to get you to check back on Saturday for the show and tell post!
How many of you can relate to this fun picture we found on Pinterest this afternoon?  Truly something that I think most of crazy quilters can definitely relate to!! The main reason for this post is to let some of you who are looking to bust out from the winter blues about two events to mark on your calendars.  The first of these is that the shop will be open on Saturday January 25th from 10am - 5pm.  We will be posting more dates and hours and specials towards the end of the week with our show and tell that was talked about above.  You will also be able to see and sign up for the Block of the Month quilt as well. The second date: for those of you wanting to check out a quilt show you can come and visit us in Red Wing, Minnesota on February 1st & 2nd.  We are excited to venture that directions, it's always a beautiful area around the Mississippi River and an area we haven't spent much time in recently!  We will post more info about location and times closer to the date.
